SkiJor-N-More teams up with Skijor Now as an equipment provider for you and your dog.

dog harness: using a full body harness like this one, allows the dog to use their whole body while pulling, not just their neck.  It also keeps the dogs legs from getting tangled in the lead.

Having a waist harness very important in skijoring.  This allows the dog to pull you from your center of gravity, pulling you and your hips forward rather than down.

Bungee leads have a smooth lead out that keep you and your dog from getting harsh jerks from pulling.

Having a quick release system between your harness and the lead is essential for safety.  If you fall, or your dog happens to get distracted on the side of the trail, the quick release mechanism allows you to quickly disconnect from your dog so neither of you get hurt.

 Skis:

Any type of cross country ski is suitable for skijoring.  Classic or touring skis are good with slower dogs or in the backcountry. Skate skis are more appropriate for skiing with faster dogs on groomed trails
